• Solid oak frame: Selected Mexican native white oak, dried by traditional kiln, the grain is rough and stable, with unique mineral spots and insect marks.
• Natural oxidized steel decorative plate: the steel plate is exposed to the open air for 3-6 months, and the wind and rain catalyzes the texture of rust red, indigo rust, carbon black spots and other non-replicable; Finally, matte polyurethane is sprayed to lock in rust color and prevent fingerprint residue.
• Each piece is unique: the dimpling of steel plates (hail strikes), the rusting lines (rainy season flow tracks) tell the true story of the climate; The oak finish is hand-brushed with oil, gradually revealing the honey-coloured coating with use.
• Connection process: Traditional dovetail + industrial bolts are used at the junction of steel and wood, and the exposed rivets become part of the decoration.
• The use of trace philosophy: allows users to continue to "nurture rust" - the wet environment will produce new rust layers, and the regular application of beeswax can control the oxidation rate.
